# Profile Settings

> Manage your profile information, avatar, and notification preferences

## Accessing Your Settings

To manage your profile:

1. Sign in to your Hallway account
2. Click on your profile in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar
3. Select **Settings** from the dropdown menu

## Updating Your Profile

### Personal Information

In the **Profile** tab, you can update:

* **Full Name** - Your display name shown across Hallway
* **Email Address** - Your primary email for notifications and sign-in

  Changes to your profile are saved automatically when you click **Save Changes**.

### Profile Picture

Add a personal touch by uploading a profile picture:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Profile**
2. Click on your current avatar or the placeholder
3. Select an image from your computer
4. Your new avatar will be uploaded automatically

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 5MB)

## Notification Preferences

Control how and when Hallway notifies you in the **Notifications** tab:

### Email Notifications

* **Interview Completed** - Get notified when a respondent completes an interview
* **Processing Complete** - Know when your interview transcripts and insights are ready
* **Product Updates** - Receive emails about new features and improvements
* **Marketing Emails** - Receive tips, tutorials, and promotions

### Managing Notifications

1. Go to **Settings** > **Notifications**
2. Toggle each notification type on or off
3. Click **Save Preferences**

  We recommend keeping "Processing Complete" enabled so you know when your insights are ready to review.

## Workspace Settings

The **Workspace** tab lets you configure workspace-level features:

* **Respondent Attributes** - Define demographic categories for segmenting research data

## Security Settings

The **Security** tab lets you manage your account security:

* **Change Password** - Reset your password via email
* View when your account was created
